What services do you offer?

I specialize in in-home cat sitting, which includes feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, cuddles (if your cat allows!), medication administration, and daily updates with photos and/or videos. Cat Nanny services and Pet Taxi Transportation services are also available. I also offer basic home care like mail collection, plant watering, and light adjustments while you’re away.

Do you care for other pets too?

My focus is on cats…it’s what I do best! However, I can also provide care for small animals like fish or guinea pigs upon request.

How do I book a cat sit?

You can easily request a booking through my website’s Book A Sit page. You can also contact me via the contact form, by emailing me at mlou@awesomecatsitter.com, or by texting me at 818-795-2218. I’ll confirm availability and schedule a Meet & Greet to get to know your cat(s) before your trip. The Meet & Greet is required to book me for a sit.

Why is the initial Meet & Greet required?

The Meet & Greet helps ensure the best care possible. It’s a chance for your cat to meet me in a low-stress setting, and for me to learn about their routine, personality, and care needs. It also lets us review feeding, litter box setup, and any home access instructions. Most importantly, it builds trust…both for you and your feline friend!

What happens during the Meet & Greet?

The Meet & Greet lasts about 20-30 minutes. We’ll go over your cat’s care routine, feeding schedule, medical needs (if any), and discuss your expectations. I’ll also gather emergency contact info, collect a spare key, and answer any questions you may have. A nominal fee of $10 is charged for this to cover my travel expenses and time.

Will you keep my keys?

Yes, I can securely keep your keys for future bookings if you’d like. They’re always labeled anonymously (never with your name or address) and stored in a locked, safe location. This makes future bookings smoother and avoids extra key exchanges. If you’d like me to keep your keys, you will not have to pay for a key return when your cat sit is over… or for a key pickup for future bookings!

Can I have someone else share cat-sitting duties with you?

For safety, liability, and consistency reasons, I do not share pet-sitting duties with other caregivers. This ensures your cat’s care routine is consistent, your home remains secure, and responsibility is clear.

Can you just come by every other day?

For the safety and well-being of your cat, I require at least one visit per day while you’re away. Cats can experience health issues or accidents quickly, and daily visits ensure food, water, and litter conditions stay fresh and safe.

How often do you visit?

You can choose one or two visits per day, depending on your cat’s needs. Each visit lasts about 20–40 minutes, depending on what service you select, and includes food, water, litter box care, playtime, and affection.

Will I get updates while I’m away?

Absolutely! You’ll receive photos and/or video updates at each visit, so you can relax knowing your cat is happy and well cared for.

What if my cat has medical needs?

I’m experienced in administering medications, including pills, liquids, injections, and subcutaneous fluids. Please share your cat’s medical needs during the Meet & Greet so I can provide proper care.

What is your pet taxi/transportation service?

My Pet Taxi Transportation service provides safe, stress-free transportation for your cat…whether it’s to the vet or the groomer. I use a secure carrier setup, temperature control, and gentle handling to ensure your pet’s comfort. This service can also include round-trip drop-offs and pick-ups if you’re unavailable.

What are your rates?

Rates vary depending on the number of visits per day, the number of cats in your household, and additional services (like medication or transportation). You can find my full pricing on the Services & Rates page.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the first scheduled visit are fully refundable. For shorter notice, a 50% fee will apply to cover reserved time.

Do you offer holiday or weekend visits?

Yes! Holiday and weekend visits are available, but they generally book up quickly. A small holiday surcharge may apply for some dates due to high demand.

How do I pay?
